What to look forward to in the next two months

Like I promised, I have posted a little schedule of what to look forward to the next two months. First off is the list of some of the movies to look forward to the next couple of months, now these include the ones everyone is mainly looking for, plus some that look interesting.

February 18

Unknown - Liam Neeson has his identity stolen, and now he fights to get it back, I almost think of the movie Taken, but it seems like he is fighting for himself, very excited for this.

I Am Number Four - Really don't know much about this movie, only saw the trailer, could be entertaining though. Plan to check it out.

February 25

Drive Angry 3D - Doesn't seem like something that is worth your time, but you never know. It stars Nicolas Cage, and the devil is after him because he wants him back.

March 4

Rango – Johnny Depp and the director of Pirates of the Caribbean, great combination for this new animated flick about a cameleon. Looks like it will be funny and very entertaining.

Adjustment Bureau – Matt Damon and Emily Blunt star as a couple that were never suppose to meet, but yet they change their destiny the more they are together. It was suppose to be released last year but got pushed till this year, hopefully it’s really good, because the trailers make it look like it could be a great movie.

March 11

Battle: Los Angeles – The first trailer you look at, you are thinking what is the point, but the recent Super Bowl spot shows that it truly has a lot of great potential. If you like end of the world movies, then this should be something you should check out.

Mars Needs Moms – A new computer animated movie by Disney, may be okay, but not something that I am desperate to see.

March 18

Limitless – The idea seems interesting, a pill that can increase your brain function, and the trouble that it could cause you.

March 25

Sucker Punch – If you enjoyed 300 or Watchmen, then I am sure you are planning to go see this.

April 1

Source Code – A new science fiction thriller by the director of Moon that came out a couple of years back. Looks like it could be very interesting, definitely planning to see this one. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, who was in The Prince of Persia last year.

Hop – Don’t know much about this movie, but the plot sounds interesting, apparently a slacker hits the Easter Bunny and then brings him home to his house to take care of him.

April 15

Scream 4 – No, you aren’t blind or misreading, that is correct, they are making a new Scream movie, 11 years after the last movie. Scream fans can rejoice, but I have never seen these movies.

Rio – A new animated comedy by the creators of Ice Age, has a great cast of voices, including Jesse Eisenberg who was in The Social Network, also Anne Hathaway and George Lopez. This movie looks funny and I am excited for this one.

April 22

Water For Elephants – I don’t know much about this movie but it could be interesting based on the trailer that I saw. It has Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattison, and Christopher Waltz.

Apollo 18 – Recovered NASA footage from their trip to the moon reveals that there are alien life forms out there. Sounds interesting, don’t know too much either than that.

Blu-Ray and DVD release schedule
Here are some of the big Blu-Ray and DVD releases, and the small as well.

Feb 15

Unstoppable – Denzel Washington and Chris Pine try to stop an unmanned train before it causes serious damage. Based on an event that took place back in 2009. It was very entertaining, worth a rental.

Summer Wars – A Japanese animated film that was released back in 2009 in Japan. It involves a game social network called Oz that becomes corrupted and could bring about the end of the world, and a boy that goes with this girl to her grandma’s 90th birthday celebration posing as her fiancĂ©. The trailer looks really interesting, I am excited to check this one out.

Feb 22

Due Date – Never saw this, and honestly there was only a couple of funny parts in the trailers that made it seem like it was worth watching. Robert Downey Jr. is trying to get home to see the birth of his new son. Has that one guy from The Hangover. Crude comedy fans should enjoy I am sure, but doesn’t seem like it’s worth seeing either than that.

Megamind – Will Farrell’s new animated comedy, it was pretty funny, but I don’t think I would buy this but it is worth a rental. It also has Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, and Brad Pitt. Will Farrell is a bad guy that eventually wins a battle against his nemesis, and takes over Metro City, but misses fighting against the good guy, so he creates a new hero to fight against. (February 25)

March 1

Reboot: The Complete Series – You can either purchase the first and second seasons as one package at any store, or you can go to Shout! Factory.com and buy the whole series. I am excited for this, mainly because I enjoyed Reboot a lot as a kid and I still think the series is very good, even though the animation is outdated. This was the first computer animated TV show. It takes place in a computer.

Bambi – That’s right, another Disney movie comes out of the Disney Vault for you to get if you don’t have it already. Classic animated movie made around the time that Snow White and Pinocchio were made.

127 Hours – Haven’t seen this, but I have heard a lot of great things out of it. James Franco stars in this true story about a hiker that gets stuck in the canyon somewhere. I plan to check this one out.

March 8

Tales From Earthsea – A Studio Ghibli film that has finally made it over to the States, I watched it recently, maybe not the best work by the company, but still worth checking out. Beautiful animation. Can’t wait to see it again. (DVD only)

Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind – Hayao Miyazaki’s first animated film under the brand Studio Ghibli makes it to Blu-Ray. While I would recommend other films by Hayao Miyazaki first, this is still a good one to see. Worth checking out.

Morning Glory – Again, this is one movie that is worth a rental, there are parts that are pretty funny. Stars Rachael McAdams, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, and Patrick Wilson. Rachael McAdams plays an aspiring executive that is trying to make this morning show work, but she has to deal with Harrison Ford who has no interest in making the show work for her.

The Next Three Days – The one film I regret not seeing in theaters, while it doesn’t seem like it’s the greatest, I do think it looks entertaining. Plan to rent this one when it comes out.

March 15

Hereafter – Never saw this, and not a whole lot of desire to see it, heard mix reviews from it. Matt Damon stars as one that could speak to people on the other side.

March 22

The Tourist – Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie star in this suspenseful comedy. Interesting twists, but more of a rental.

Ernest Goes to Camp/Ernest Goes to Jail – That’s right, the late Jim Varney has a couple of his classics come to Blu-Ray. Want some dumb laughs, then this is worth checking out for sure.

Anastasia – The 1997 animated movie by Don Bluth makes it to Blu-Ray, actually, as I think about it, I think this is his first movie making it to Blu-Ray. I haven’t watched this movie much, but it was pretty good and I believe it’s worth checking out.

Skyline – Never saw this one, kind of wanted to watch it just to see how bad it was, heard nothing good out of this. Pretty sure this is a skip, but you never know, could have some decent moments.

March 29

Tangled – Now this is a must own when it comes out. For those that missed it in theaters, totally check this one out. Great animated movie that was very entertaining and had a great story to it. And for those that have 3DTVs, you can get this one on Blu-Ray 3D, but for everyone else, this should be a must own on Blu-Ray.

Evangelion 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance – Saw this one as an import from Japan last year, and is now hitting Blu-Ray and DVD in the States on this date. I thought it was very well done. Now I am waiting for information about the 3rd one.

Fair Game – Naomi Watts and Sean Penn in this new thriller by Doug Liman, never saw it, but could be worth checking out.

April 5

Tron Legacy – One movie I am very excited to get on Blu-Ray, also expect the original Tron to arrive on Blu-Ray on that day as well. This will also include a 3D version of Tron Legacy for those that have 3DTVs. Whether you want 3D or not, this is still a movie worth watching.

Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader – The recent film in the Narnia series, in my opinion was the weakest one, I really liked the first one a lot, and the second one was good too, this one is worth one watch though, for the visuals, and some of the religious parts in it were pretty cool. (April 8)

April 12

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 – Buying this will only make you more impatient for the next one, luckily we only have a three month wait, but at the same time we can figure out those little things we might have missed in theaters. Very excited for this purchase. (April 15)

The Incredibles – Another movie to add to you Disney/Pixar collection. The only one we are missing on Blu-Ray is Finding Nemo, and hopefully we will hear about that one sometime soon.

When I see the releases for DVD it makes me realize I really missed a lot of movies that came out.

Not sure which of the new movies I will see--some do sound interesting.

Thanks for the info.
